OWNERSHIP
We will have shared ownership and rights over the music video.
Credit to Rebel Scum Jack must remain in the video, and cited within the description of the video when it is shared / posted.
HOSTING
The video will be hosted exclusively on the Rebel Scum Jack channel (YouTube), and must not be posted/duplicated elsewhere.
MONETIZATION
If the video is monetized and reaches 1 million views, the profit earned will be assessed. You will receive a payout of 50% of the profit earned (after taxes) at the point the video has reached 1 million views OR $3000 USD – whichever is the lesser amount.
You will NOT receive continual payout of the profit / monetization past the point at which profits are assessed when the video reaches 1 million views. It is strongly recommended to ensure that you are prepared to capitalize on the increased attention/traffic flow to your brand that may naturally come as a result of the music video’s success.
COPYRIGHT – FAIR USE
The movie scenes that appear within the video are being utilized within fair use limitations. Each music video is created as a form of artistic interpretation and celebration. The video is created as a piece of transformative artwork – it serves as a tribute to both the song used, as well as the movies from which the scenes are sourced from.
Creative thought is implemented into deciding which specific movies that scenes should be sourced from, and the manner in which they should appear in relation to each other, as well as the song. The juxtaposition of scenes from different movies serves as a form of commentary on the films, as the viewer is able to observe, experience, and compare the scenes in a fashion that is not provided in the original works as they stand on their own. The song/track being used within the video serves as an additional form of commentary, as this allows the viewer to experience both the song, and aspects of the film material in a fashion that is an exclusive/unique experience from the song or films in their standalone forms.
The music video serves as it’s own unique transformative creation that does not duplicate nor substitute for the value of either listening to the song by itself, or watching the related films by themselves. All reasonable effort is made to produce a video that brings positive attention and commentary to both the song and the films from which scenes are sourced.
